How can I gather a list of software loaded using SIM

I have the need to gather a list of all software installed on our servers and I want ot use HP SIM. Is this possible and if so how? Version of SIM is 5.1

Install HP Version Control Agent on the targets and then run Data Collection task in HP SIM. You should get the inventory of installed software and firmwares installed.

That will give a list of the HP software installed. HPSIM doesn't give a listing of all software products.
It's not easy to get a full list due to the different ways software is installed on a server. They don't all leave the same footprint.

I was looking for non-HP software. I only want a list of the software that shows up in Add or Remove Programs. I would assume this would be an easy task to capture this information since it is all listed.
