how could i test SIM mail alarm is working

I set snmp at SIM Server and SIM client
but how could test mail alarm is working
dont use close server or disconnect network
system is unreachable--->This is ping no reply ,mail alarm will send mail to me,not relationship with SNMP

If Windows, go to Control Panel and fire up the HP Management Agents GUI and use the Trap Send button.

This will create a Major Event. If you have an event handler for Major Events that e-mails, this should be triggered.
