How to change the name of the certificatethe is issued to
Hi, I have a question regarding the certificate for for Insight Manager:
As we know, the Secure certificate can be created in Insight Manager but it is issued to the machine name where the Insight Manager is installed.
So when we access Insight Manager via it's IP address, it will always prompt a warning which says that the name which the certificate is issued to does not match the name in the address bar in IE. So now come to my question:
Whether it is possible to manually type/change the name for the "issued to" column so I can use the IP address of that machine instead of using the PC name. Because in our situation, some users need to access the system via the IP address instead of the PC name, by changing the "issued to" name, we can kill the bloody warning message every time.
Any idea from anyone?
Thanks a lot
Aguang

Re: How to change the name of the certificatethe is issued to
Sorry, that would be a violation of the PKI security model. (that is PKI standards, not any issue created by Insight Manager) If you were able to edit that field, it would not match the hash of the key code.
