how to deactivate 'Critical Software Update Notification' event
hello,
I get in my SIM the notification: Critical Software Update Notification Trap 11014. How can I deactivate this?
Is it the right way, to set the Software Version Agent to inactive at the target server? (control panel->HP Management Agents)
thanks for your assistance

Re: how to deactivate 'Critical Software Update Notification' event
Instead of trying to desactivate the trap, why don't you take a look at the Version Control Agent on the reporting node and install the critical SW or FW?

Re: how to deactivate 'Critical Software Update Notification' event
I don't always install the critical software right away until it is tested!
To disable these warnings, go to:Options, Events, SNMP Trap Settings.
At the Mib Name dropdown box, select cpqhost.mib
At the Trap Name, choose cpqHOCriticalSoftwareUpdateTrap
The Event Type should show the 11014 event
You can either set the Enable Trap Handling to "no" or change the severity of the warning. Mine is set to send me alerts on all critical events only, so I changed the Severity to Warning so I wouldn't be notified.
