How to tie manually Host and ILO??
Hi,
I would like to know how to tie manually host server and ILO manually if it is not automatically done by HP SIM?
Can I achieve this either through scripts or some sort of manual configuration?
Thanks

Re: How to tie manually Host and ILO??
Discover both iLO and the host server by giving there IP address in SIM, then SIM server will automatically sets the association with iLO and the host server.

Re: How to tie manually Host and ILO??
Hi Anantha,
Thanks for your reply.
I am aware that HP SIM automatically ties ILO and its host on discovery. I would like to know if it can be done manually in cases where it fails to do automatically or in cases where HP SIM Agent is not installed on the host?
Thanks for your reply.

Re: How to tie manually Host and ILO??
You can do this by editing the SQL data base tables directly. I found this in another thread:
'I hacked the "dbo_device_associations" table to associate each MP to it's server. This worked well, but now with SP3 a discovery removes my manually created entries again, except for the ones of the G4 Proliants???!
I installed a fresh SIM5-with-SP3, but this one does not associate any of the MPs with it's server.'
