Howto have HP SIM to send out SMS alerts

I have a HP SIM and it can send out emails. I also have linux smstools instalation, and this server sends out sms' from its shared folder.

I it possible for SIM to passthoug the alerts to this folder?
Or in any other way send out the alert by SMS

If your HP SIM CMS also resides on the same Linux system as your SMStools, and SMStools simply scans a directory for files to send, you would create a script for HP SIM to use that would echo the appropriate information into the file.

See page 341 in the Technical Reference Guide from http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim --> Information Library for the appropriate variables. You would probably want to use NOTICESEVERITYSTR, DEVICENAME and NOTICEPLAINTEXT at a minimum.

If you want to send an SMS (text) msg to a phone, just use the phone number and the appropriate SMTP gateways.
