HP Client Server setup problems

Hi, Please help. I am familiar with IBM Director but need the basics on after the SIM 5.1 SERVER (over MSSQL 2005) is up and running and sending out alerts. And the SIM discovery on the network segements has completed. How can I make all the unmanaged or even missing Windows2003 servers/nodes normailzed? I have read and searched and downloaded files but need help ASAP. What software do I install on the Windows 2003 32 bit Servers? Where do I down load it? (they don't have web access) Why is it not intuative? What am I missing?

Re: HP Client Server setup problems

- I forgot to include that when I run setup on the VCA client the agent 6842 or 7354 errors with

"The software is not supported for installation on this system.

The HP System Management Homepage Win32 service was not found by the installer.

Press 'Close' to exit Setup."

Re: HP Client Server setup problems

Are we talking about Proliant servers? If so, then the ProLiant Support Pack which contains the drivers, utilities and agents are automatically installed when using HP SmartStart or the HP Rapid Deployment Pack to install the operating system. If you built the server manually, HP SIM can deploy the PSP to a system automatically with the 'Initial ProLiant Support Pack installation' task under the Deploy menu.

This is covered in the 'SIM Windows Installation and Configuration Guide' that would have been included in your download of HP SIM or on the Management CD that came with your ProLiant server. You also can download it from http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim --> Information Library.
