HP event notifier config
We are about to reinstall our HPSIM on a new server and would like to have HP Event Notifier installed on all our servers.
The problem is we cannot figure out how to install this SMTP-application. We have it on a few servers, but no matter what we install it will not appear under HP Management Agents.
How do we download HP Event Notifier manually or what are we doing wrong since its not available on our servers.
(running DL 360 G3+G4 DL 380 G6)

Re: HP event notifier config
It looks to me like HP has removed this software from the support pack, or possibly moved it into the system management homepage???

Re: HP event notifier config
FYI, I was able to pull up the HP Event Notifier Config (appearently the support pack just removes the shortcuts) by running c:\windows\system32\cimntfy\lwconfig.exe
Not sure if it still works however.

Re: HP event notifier config
The HP Event Notifier is used on systems that typically do not have HPSIM.
For HPSIM you usually rely on snmp to pass the traps as generated by the agents.
The event notifier talks directly to the SMTP server.
