HP Insight Manager - manage Alpha on Linux ?

HP Insight Manager - manage Alpha on Linux ?

Can the CMS see and receive alerts from the Alpha if it's running Linux ? I presume the platform for the CMS also must be either Intel or HP UX ?

There are Insight agents for AlphaServers running OpenVMS and Tru64 but not for Linux. It then will depend on what you use for agents. With SNMP we'd be able to get basic up/down information. You also could check into some of the open source WBEM providers and object managers. Do a search on OpenWBEM, OpenPegasus and SBLIM to find out more. There's not much assistance we can offer, however.
