HP ML350 G3 server cannot seem to install PSP 8.20

Guys I have a HP ml350g3 server running windows 2003/sp2.
Noticed even though i used the HP Smartstart Cd version 8.20 it didnt install any of the HP management stuff
So i installed the PSP pack and it detects a whole load of installs that cane be run but 3 with failed dependencies all the same error message

- HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver for Windows

What was the error or dependencies shown against each product.

Have you selected insight management agents and configured snmp?

SNMP is configured,
Trying to isntall the Insight Agents of the CD and via HP SIM5.3 which i reckon is awful

Are you saying this server was built using a Smart Start CD? Or that you used the Smart Start CD to try and install the PSP later?

If the server wasn't built using Smart Start then yo may need to reboot during the PSP install to first load the Advanced management drivers.

i actuall yhave 2 x ml350 g3 servers and they were both was built using smartstart 8.20.
Thought maybe something wasnt installed correctly hence the need to try PSP and i get the dependency errors

From the PSP you can run the setup.exe directly which runs the Update manager. You could then try just installing the required drivers from there and then installing the management agents.

But th way you've tried should work. The G3 is quite old compared to the Smart Start, so another solution may be to rebuild using an older SS CD. If available use the one that came with the Server.
