HP Service Accounts
Hi well here goes
Back ground
W2K3 member server in an OU environment, (all software install is installed under the local administrator account with HPSIM installed running SQL2000 with SP3a. When the HPSIM software is installed all the services etc run and all is normal server checks out fine.
Problem
A new certificate is successfully created and saved on the management server and then rebooted to check that the newly created certificate works ok, but on reboot the following services fail to start
HP Performance Pack
HP PMP Tools
HP Insight Manager
On investigation these services are not running under the local system account but under the following account
.\Administrator
which I have no knowledge of.
Could any one shed any light on this thanks.

Re: HP Service Accounts
Those services run under the installation account.
What error is logged when you attempt to start those services?
