HP SIM 4.1 disaster recovery
SIM Gurus,
I have a HP SIM 4.1 CMS running on a Win 2k3 enviornment with a backend SQL 2K database running on a different server. I would like to know what is the quickest way to recover the CMS operations, includinf browsing and notifications, if the CMS server crashes. I do have an additional hardware to keep a standby server ready if needed.
Also, would the method work for SIM 4.2?
Regards
Navneet Verma

Re: HP SIM 4.1 disaster recovery
Per information from HP Development team. The only thing you need is the database and the c:\program files\hp\systems insight manager\config directory.
Restore your OS from backup tape, including file structure and registry. Restore you database. Should be back in business.
