My question is this: How do I get SIM to email me when certain events take place? I have setup a mailbox specifically for this purpose and have set all the SMTP settings in SIM. I have tried to create a rule for when the link gets lost on a NIC and I never get the notification. Is there something I need to do before this?
Also, I have tried to push Disk Threshold settings to all servers and only a few come back as completed - every other server comes back as failed.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Re: HP SIM 4.1 Event Notifications - HELP!!
Thanks for the reply and the information. It amazes me how two pages of documentation did more for me than the 544 page bible on SIM.
Would you happen to know why I can't push Disk Threshold levels to some servers and not others? Out of about 25 servers, only 4 of them got the settings and I am having a hard time trying to figure out why.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: HP SIM 4.1 Event Notifications - HELP!!
You needa Read/Write Community name and in W2003 Servers the default behaviour changed to allow selected SNMP Hosts.
