HP SIM 4.2 error when trying to subscribe to HPUX 11.23 EMS wrapper subscription
Hello,
We have a Proliant DL380 G2 running HP SIM 4.2 . We wanted this machine to log events from EMS of an Itanium rx5670 machine. We installed SysFaultMgmt on this machine (together with WBEM 2.0 and OpenSSL). The HP SIM machine recognises the Itanium successfully using automatic discovery. When we try to subscribe for WBEM events using both GUI and command (mxwbemsub -a -n itanium) it always gives the below error:
An internal error occurred.
String index out of range: -1
We searched ITRC and found a thread that it could be reserve DNS related, we solved this problem but the same error still creeps in.
We don't know how we shall proceed from here or what the error in question means. Can you help us? Would be very grateful. Points will be awarded accordingly.
Vince

More info:
When the error emerges, GUI states that exit code is 200.
