HP SIM 4.2 help
Hi All
I emailed the HP service desk asking if they had any programs that will allow me to monitor Hard drives in my servers and send an email alert if any of the drives go down.
They advised me to install HP Systems Insight Manager.
I have installed HP SIM 4.2 from my Proliant Pack, but I have no idea how to find my servers and how to start monitoring them for Disk Errors.
Hope you can help
Regards
Douglas Bell

Re: HP SIM 4.2 help
Hi, Douglas !
HP SIM 4.2 is out of date.
Download HPSIM 5.0 from HP site:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/getattachment.do?attachmentId=267828&ext=.gif
Read "Getting started with HP SIM 5.0 in a smaller Windows environment"
http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/hpsim-win.pdf
This document describe basic installation and configuration of HP SIM.
HP SIM will give you more than just hard drives monitoring.
Regards, Igor
