HP Sim 4.2 Repository

I can't seem to find it in the software.. where is it?

I may have decided not to install it, but, when I run the installation again, it doesn't give me the otpion to install it. What am I missing? should I remove everything and start over?

Re: HP Sim 4.2 Repository

If you did not get the option to install it during the installation it may already be installed. You can look on the Management homepage of the system that IM 4.2 is installed on and it will show you if the Repository is installed. You can download and install the repository seperately from HP, but doing a custom installation should give you the option to install it. If I recall correctly...the VC Repository is down at the very bottom of the options.

Hope this helps.

Re: HP Sim 4.2 Repository

thanks.. you were right. It was installed, and in that location.

However, it's on some server, I have no idea how it was configured to be there.. perhaps it was there prior and repeated as part of the installation, and I wasn't paying attention.

So, how do I now reinstall it and put it on the server that's running everything else?

Re: HP Sim 4.2 Repository

If the Version Control Depository Manager is installed remotely then I would remove it off of the remote server and re-install onto the new one. If only the repository folder is there then you can just delete the repository folder (after stopping the services) and place it on the local server. Go into the Management console on the server and into the VCM software and repoint the reference to the correct local folder.
