HP SIM 5.0 - Adding Novell Servers

I am a Windows guy, but we have a few Novell 6.0 and 6.5 servers in our data centre. I would like to have these added to HP SIM.

Can someone please advise me how this is done as I have no idea?

Download and install the the latest PSP for netware from the HP site onto the netware server. Do a manual discovery in HP SIM for the IP address of the netware server.

the credentials are as follows for the HP web based management page on the netware server (case sensitive)

username administrator
password administrator

version control does not work with netware.

If you have a IPv4 address for the Novell servers then a straight forward dicovery (Automatic or Manual) will do.

In case you have IPX address and if you want to discover using it then

1)Enable/install IPX protocol to the NIC used by your HPSIM server (CMS).
2)Assign a Inernal network number to the NIC.
2)Login to HPSIM.
3)Go to Options->Discovery...
4)Edit the default automatic discovery task or create a new discovery task with the "Configuration" of the task set to "IPX SAP"
5)Save the task and then run the task.
6)At the end of the task execution you should have your Novell servers discovered in HPSIM.

Your a legend. I did exactly what you said and discovery worked perfect. All I had to do what rename my servers from IP addresses to hostnames.
