HP SIM 5.3 Authentication Fails

We have two different HP SIM servers (windows 2003) and both are experiencing the same issues. Regularly when trying to log into the hp sim homepage/console we get authentication fails. Logging in with the service account gives a blank page. Anyone else have/had this issue?

After doing a mxstop/mxstart it works again.
