HP SIM 5.3 ilo integration not working after ilo subsystem name change.
I am testing ILO integration with HP SIM 5.3. I have imported our sim cert into the ILO web console. In HP SIM when you pull up the server you see:
System Management Homepage
Properties
Integrated Lights-Out 2 (iLO 2)
When I click on ILO, the URL it trys to hit is https://"sim server":50000/SSO?DID=00000022648865df000000030000046b&APP=ILO&FRM=3&URL=http://ilomxq828a7u7:80/
Now the name for the ilo was ilomxq828a7u7 but I changed it to test-ilo. When the name was ilomx... HP SIM SSO integration worked fine. If I actually take out that weird name in the url and put in "test-ilo" it works fine.
I've deleted the server from the HP Sim database and readded it. It still doesn't work. Why is it pulling this "ilomxq828a7u7" name?

Re: HP SIM 5.3 ilo integration not working after ilo subsystem name change.
I went into the ILO bios itself of the server.
It has listed DNS Name: test-ilo
The ILO SN is: ilomxq828A7u7
So why is the link in hp sim trying to connect to the SN of the device and not the DNS name?

Re: HP SIM 5.3 ilo integration not working after ilo subsystem name change.
nevermind. i figured it out. since this server was not in my discovery range and only a test box, i had the discovery set for only the server itself.
once i added a discovery for the ilo ip address, the hyperlink for the ilo is now correct for the dns name.
