HP SIM Agent -> Insight Manager Communication.
Hi,
Could someone please tell me which ports all of the agents need to communicate with Insight Manager?
I have a couple of servers sitting behind a firewall in the DMZ and I would like all the agents to be able to communicate and report through to the SIM Server, currently only ICMP requests are being allowed through so only up/down time is being monitored.
Cheers,
Hanré

Re: HP SIM Agent -> Insight Manager Communication.
hanre,
wbem stuff uses 2301 (non ssl) or 2381 (ssl), if you are just using snmp then obviously 161 and 162.
hope this helps
good luck

There is a whitepaper on firewalls and HP SIM in http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim --> Information Library
