HP SIM and IM Agent integration
I have installed HP SIM on one machine and IM agents are on ESX 3 server. On that server there is correctly installed System Management Homepage. It also correctly indicates problems, such as file system space used or network interfaces links. There are thresholds for space used and therefore messages are going to HP SIM and later to HP OVO correctly. But when the network interface is down or up, it only appears on System Management page but nothing in SIM nor OVO. Is there any way to send such message to HP SIM ?

Re: HP SIM and IM Agent integration
I think there are other forum questions about this. Are you running 7.70 of the Agents as this did fix a few faults.

Re: HP SIM and IM Agent integration
If the ESX Service Console network link is down, exactly how is a message going to be transmitted back to HP SIM? If it stays down long enough, the only way HP SIM will detect it is through polling.

Re: HP SIM and IM Agent integration
David,
That should only apply to the Console port.
On our VMWare Host Servers we have an additional 5 ports available for the Guest Servers and VMotion. It would be nice to know if they've gone down.
I'm not 100% sure the above poster is talking about the Console port itself.
