HP SIM Authorization

I am getting the attached error when trying to deploy to a manually added server. I removed all old installations from the target server. The server is in a different domain to the CMS Server.

"The user has no authorizations on node "

Thanks

Re: HP SIM Authorization

David,

Sounds like you are logged in with a user account that does not have full access to the SIM system.

Try logging in with the Administrator account you used to install the system with. If that works, then use the authorization manager of SIM to assign to appropriate rights to the user account that was not working.

Re: HP SIM Authorization

Nelson,
I was logged into Windows using Domain Admin account I used to install SIM and then logged into SIM with same account. Target server is in a different domain but the account is local admin on that machine as well.

Thanks

Re: HP SIM Authorization

You indicate that the target server is in a different domain than the CMS server. Does the service account that SIM is running under have permissions on the target server? or have you gone in and setup credentials using mxnodesecurity for the target server with an account that does have administrative access?

Re: HP SIM Authorization

One additional note based on your reply to Nelson, which account has local admin rights to the target server? The account you are logging in to SIM with? or the service account that SIM is running under.

I would go to the "Systems Insight Manager\bin" directory where you have SIM installed with a command prompt and type the following command:

mxnodesecurity.exe -l -n

That will tell you how it is attempting to access the server.

Re: HP SIM Authorization

Thanks for your input. I ended up doing a re-install and re-distribute and this resolved my issue.
