HP SIM Healt status transcription
Hi, I use HP SIM to monitor hardware status, I have configured SNMP agent on W2k8 R2 to play with HP SIM and see some HW status as OK, but some marked as "?"
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/5409/imgyto.png
Where I could find description of monitored components: "Host OS", "Storage" etc.
How I can monitor it?
Thanks.

Re: HP SIM Healt status transcription
hi
The HS column on the system list page displays the overall system health status,
which is determined by the default Hardware Status Polling task and is a roll up of all the status sources, which can be SNMP, WBEM, HTTP, and cluster status.
question mark on status generally means that system is not managed or lost connection or missing agent or snmp/wbem configuration
there are different ways to troubleshoot.
1. run the h/w status polling to see whether you have connection with managed system.
2. replicate agent from working server to non working server
3. run the repair agents task to install/configure missing/corrupted settings including management/SNMP agents.
4. re-establish SSH connection/Certification by running manage connection option
thanks,
Aftab
