HP sim not recievnin SNMP or WBEM events since upgrade to sim 7 from 6.3

HI there,

bit stuck here,

Rather than migrate from 6.3 to 7 I did this as a new install (because i have so few server) so I uninstalled sim 6.3 then installed sim7 as a new prduct,

Sim 6.3 worked fine, we got traps ok.

but in SIM 7 not all servers are responding and were not getting any traps in.

The server is 2008 R2 on SQL 2008R2 with firewall disabled.

Ihave made no changed to any of the network, firewalls or the server its on.

In Event filter settings "Accept unregistered events"  is checked (I have tried unckeking this and reboot ing then rechecking but no good)

Any pointers on what may be a foot please?

Assuming the network address of the SIM server is the same check the following:

• Make sure the SNMP community strings are the same
• Run a network sniffer on the SIM server and send test events form the servers that are 'not responding' and see if the traps are getting there
• Ensure the latest MIB kit is registered
• re-subscribe to WBEM indication on servers running WBEM/WMI providers
