Hi,
after finishing the SIM installation an ICON is placed on the desktop to start the HP SIM. This shortcut starts browser pointing to http://localhost:280/.
However, this url is redirected to http://localhost:50000, the HP Insight Dynamics' portal. Is this portal the same as Hp Systems Insight Manager? Why the url is redirected?
Thanks.

Solution
Hi
Is this portal the same as Hp Systems Insight Manager?
Well it will depend on the installation method you use;
1/If you use the regular HP SIM sources from the HP SIM website then you will get the standard HP SIM portal
2/If HP SIM is installed as part of Insight Software DVD and if Insight dynamics is installed as well then the portal is named Insight Dynamics.
Why the url is redirected?
Because HP prefers you to use secured url. Security matters ometimes. It is better to use an https connection, therefore the redirection.
Hope it helps
