HP SIM "output" directory

What is the directory listed as
D:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\output

I was doing a full system virus scan and noticed this directory taking a few hours. I am currently still getting properties on this directory... but I'm up to 800K files in here so far. What is this and can I delete these directories?
