HP SIM Runtime error
I was just riding along... :)
When I try to launch HP SIM I'm getting an error:
Runtime error!
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information.
Then I click OK and it says:
Runtime Error!
Program:
R6025
-Pure virtual function call
Anyone seen this?

Re: HP SIM Runtime error
Was it working at any time? Install anything lately?
Googling 'R6025 Pure virtual function call' has a number of interesting situations, including one with MS SharePoint Server and PowerPoint 2003 installing something newer that causes the problem.
I'm not saying that either of those components are your problem, or even that we share code from them, just that's a direction to look in. Sounds like you've installed something that doesn't 'respect' hpSIM.

Re: HP SIM Runtime error
Yeah it has been working. I have just gotten back into the office after being gone for nearly a month...and BOOM, it doesn't work?! I'm fairly certain nothing new has been installed on the machine - other than Microsoft security patches, it's a Winders server.
It's possible that the server got a new, more restrictive GPO... there are many failed audit events for the service account in the security log, so I'm going to chase that down.
Just riding along is sort of a joke among *mostly* bike mechanics. "I was just riding along when the rear derailer just fell off!"
