HP SMH not working on Red Hat

Hi everyone. I have an issue where the HPSMH is not working on a box. I get the certificate warning followed by a grey screen in ie with the url  https://<ip>:2381/cpqlogin.htm?RedirectUrl=/&RedirectQueryString=

in /var/spool/opt/hp/hpsmh/logs/error_log I get the following:

[Mon Jun 16 15:09:35.238486 2014] [:error] [pid 28337] [client <clientip>:54247] mod_smh_config: unable to open session information from DBM: 2, referer: https://<serverip>:2381/cpqlogin.htm?RedirectUrl=/&RedirectQueryString=

now... I cannot find mod_smh_config on this box. Or in fact on ones that are happily working. In fact when looking into this it seems to suggest this is a windows module rather than a linux one.

Tried uninstall/reinstall, reconfiguring etc...

Any ideas?

This is RHEL 6.5 64bit

I've got the same issue with RHEL 6.6 x86_64.

Is there any solution for this issue?
