The infrastructure is the following:
.:There is one SQL 2005 Std server (Win 2003).
.:One Different Srv wich already is running SIM 5.2 (Win 2003)
.:I just install to another Srv SIM 6.2 under win 2008 R2 (because it is major to have 64 bit).
The reason that I select new machine for 6.2 is because it is major to be a 64bit O.S., hence, it was not physical to upgrade the current session of 5.2.
The issue is, that when I press the desktop icon, or the internet browser address on the new Srv (6.2) nothing happens...
The services are running.
The Srv rebooted.
How to troubleshoot?

Re: HP System Insight Manager 6.2 Problem...
Any credential or authorization changes to the db server? do you use dynamic sql ports and the ports changed? SQL Browser Service running?
Sometimes 2008 after patching will re-enable Windows Firewall if you turned it off as opposed to disabling service or punching holes in the firewall for the SQL port.
Really not enough info to get specific, but hopefully these items might get you pointed in the right direction.

SolutionCan you please check if you are using the correct proxy in the browser while trying to connect to the setup.
If you are accessing SIM from browser where CMS is installed then remove any proxy present in the browser.

Re: HP System Insight Manager 6.2 Problem...
Now the only issue that I believe you are facing is that, browser is not able to open http socket connection to SIM web server.
To solve this either you have to setup a vpn connection if the CMS is present in some other network or you need to use a proxy for CMS network or if you are in same subnet then remove any proxy and check the bypass proxy for local network.(You can also include IP of CMS under bypass proxy settings)
Thanks,

Re: HP System Insight Manager 6.2 Problem...
I'm trying to use web interface under the same network, but from another computer.
If I try to open web interface the output is: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Even if I try with the dns name or the ip of the SIM server.

Re: HP System Insight Manager 6.2 Problem...
All OK..
Now it is working without problem (local & web interface).
Enable/Disable firewall
Restart
Try with success
Thanks for the answers...
