HP Systems Insight Manager is unable to launch the System Management Home Page at

I recieve this message when I select health status from the idenity tab. The rest would be the ip address. I can click on HP Management Agents for Servers (foundation component) under the link tab and the home page opens find. Out of all the llinks that go to the insight manager home page of the managed server -m Health status seems to be the only one that usies a java script.

Any idea?

In the Server field, does the Server have a name or IP Address?

What about Browser settings, are the Servers listed to bypass the Proxy?
Is the name resolving correctly, both IP-> Name and Name-> IP?

Also, versions? OS?

The server name is the name. I am using the IP address to conect. The full error is

HP Systems Insight Manager is unable to launch the System Management Home Page at: https://64.74.42.198:2381/.

This from Health stus and Homepage, if I click on the links under the tools and links tab it works fine, and if I type
https://64.74.42.198:2381 I also connect fine.

The OS is 2003 and the HP Insight Manger is
5.0

This is jadrice, I found the answer to your issue. I will show you tomorrow when you get in.

But for everyone else, this is a name resolution issue. SIM cannot translate the server's name to the ip address because it is either not in dns or it is not part of the host name file. to test this, put the preferred system name in the host file along with its ip address and then problem solved. Now give me my 10:)

I also find out that by restarting the SIM service after you choose the "system link configuration" fixes this issue as well. Bugs issue?
