HP Systems Insight Manager: mxagentconfig fails
Dear all,
I just installed HP SIM and are now configuring a managed server.
In the documentation it is written to launch a command mxagentconfig -g
After running this command and filling in the requested info a receive an error saying: Failed to establish a connection ...
In the log of the to managed server I found the following info:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( sshd ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: sshd : PID 2132 : Accepted password for SoeAdmin from 141.167.227.77 port 4882 ssh2.
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( sshd ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: sshd : PID 2132 : subsystem request for sftp.
Can some-one give me some advice on this?
Thanks,
Yves.

Re: HP Systems Insight Manager: mxagentconfig fails
Yves,
I experienced the same problem today. I actually called HP and they have no idea of even how to troubleshoot that. I am going to keep working on a solution. If you find one, write back.

Re: HP Systems Insight Manager: mxagentconfig fails
I had a similar problem which was probably caused by Openssh installation malfunctioning.
In the Windows registry of the managed server, following key value was left blank :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin\mounts v2\/home\native
Change this value to : C:\Documents and Settings
mxagentconfig should be working fine now.
