HP UX info collection problem
Hi Gurus,
I've installed a SIM 4 on PC Server, try to manage HP UX(11i) system. I cannot get almost all the reports for UX system(says no data available in database). I tried to manually trigger the Data Polling action(collection) with completed status but obviously no info got. Unfortunately I did not find any log or trace signature for this collecting process.
Anyone has experience on this? My question is:
Dos SIM 4 using WBEM protocol to collect the inventory infor for report? in Global Protocol Setting, I set the credential as:
User: ServerName\root
password: RootPassword
is this the default credential for WBEM agent?
Thank a lot!

Re: HP UX info collection problem
The reporting data comes from the R_* Tables which are populated Bi Weekly Data Collection Task. If that has not run, kick it off and let it finish.
This, by default only runs every two weeks, it's meant to be just a quick inventory. If you have significant changes you may want to manually rerun this, or if you have a fairly dynamic environment change the frequency.
