HP Version Control - No Push Updates?

I am reading through the documentatation on HP Version Control and SIM 5.0 and it does not appear that it has the capability to push software updates to a group of servers nor can you schedule individual servers to pull updates automatically at a specified time. It appears that any software updates must be manually initiated from each particular system. Am I missing something? Would it be possible to script this kind of update? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: HP Version Control - No Push Updates?

Zakr,
You can use the Software Deployment task feature in SIM to push the software updates to a group of servers.
You can refer to the below link for more information:

Re: HP Version Control - No Push Updates?

Anantha, thank you for your answer. I have read the attached document and still do not see anything about a push deployment. Before posting this question, I read the attached document and many others and I still didn't find any reference to a push deployment of software. Could you point out where in the attached document this is discussed. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Re: HP Version Control - No Push Updates?

The information is there in the paper; there just isn't a step-by-step guide to how to deploy the software.

In HP SIM, choose Deploy --> Install Software and Firmware --> Choose the targets --> Choose the baseline or server software to be deployed --> Schedule
