HPSIM 4.2 Polling Sensitivity Question (Workaround)

After upgrading to SIM 4.2. I had the same polling problem listed in the following forum thread.

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=762032

and it worked a little too well. During the first Ping Sweep, cluster monitor lost all contact with both of my NetWare clusters.

Any suggestions aside from hoping than deleting the clusters and redetecting?

Have you done what David suggested in the thread and changed to use more retries etc. in the Server properties?

Re: HPSIM 4.2 Polling Sensitivity Question (Workaround)

Yes when I applied the workaround the false positives disappeared. However, it broke the Cluster Monitor for NetWare. I guess it also has it's own settings. When I deleted the objects and let SIM re-detect the clusters, I'm getting tons of false positives for my NetWare cluster again. At least the other servers are happy.

My NetWare team is getting really upset and soon I will be forced to downgrade or replace SIM.
