HPSIM 5.1 on top of SQL
By default HPSIM installs MSDE to run on. How supported is HPSIM running on SQL 2000 or 2005?

SIMS is supported with SQL. Here is a link to the Information Library where you should be able to find the instructions thast you need.

hi
it all boils down to the number of devices you are willing to manage with HP SIM.
The simple rule : below 500nodes MSDE is ok. Upward sql server is needed.
Use the HP SIM sizer to get a precise idea on how you should prepare your system :An HP passport is needed there :
