HPSIM 5.3 Performance Traps after MIB Update

Hi All,
HPSIM 5.3 SP1 plus Hotfixes.
I applied the 8.25 MIB Update yesterday. Since then the SNMP Traps from Performance Alerts are appearing as:
No additional information was provided. The event or device was probably deleted.

The event as seen in HPSIM doesn't seem to be any different.

Any idea how to correct the issue?

Re: HPSIM 5.3 Performance Traps after MIB Update

I am running HPSIM 5.2, SP2 and have had this problem for quite some time. I believe it began with the 8.00 MIB update. It would sure be nice if they fix this!

Rancher,
Thanks, if nothing else your reply has bumped it back up the charts.
The same was happened to us but the fresh install of 5.3 had all the nice alerts back. The first MIB update and it's all broken again. Agghhhh....
I haven't restarted the HPSIM services since the update so I'll go for that and see if things improve.

Re: HPSIM 5.3 Performance Traps after MIB Update

OK Resolved here.

The rising thresholds are in the cpqthrsh MIB and the device busy ones in the cpqwinos MIB.

I first deleted these using the mxmib -d command.
I then copied the MIB files only into the mibs directory and used mcompile and mxmib -a to re-add them.

This may work for previous versions.
