HPSIM - Clearing down false alarms.
How do you get rid of false alarms? For example I am getting a NIC card team degraded on a spare NIC which isn't being used. Also a power supply failure on a secondary redundant power supply however a second one doesn't exist. These are just a couple of examples there are others but I figure if I know how to get rid of 1 I should be able to do the rest. Cheers.

Re: HPSIM - Clearing down false alarms.
The NIC one is easy. Just disable the NIC in the O/S and SIM will not report on it.

Re: HPSIM - Clearing down false alarms.
Hi Glenn,
All of the server's monitored agents are are listed in the HP Management Agents Control Panel. From this list, you can more agents from "active" to "inactive."
Usually, things like disabling the hardware components which aren't being used, like the other posted suggested, are a better option.
Good luck,
- Steve kadish
