HPSIM Event Severity Change - How to?

By default HPSIM classifies an invalid login as a major event. All major events in my environment get sent to an email distribution list which includes administrator's phones.

I'd like to change an invalid login to a less than "Major" status and then create the appropriate event handling from there.

Is there a way to change the severity classification of events?

I know of no way of changing the built in SIM alerts status BUT you could just filter out those events by adding the logic to your existing task:

event category selection - IS NOT - Security Events
