HPSIM on 11.31 will not configure

I've installed HPSIM on an RX1620 freshly loaded with 11.31. HP-SIM was installed from the February 2007 HP-UX media (C.05.00.02.00), system was then patched current to yesterday before configuration started.

My initial "mxinitconfig -l" passed with flying colors, except a kernel warning. The kernel warning was for the dbc_max_pctg parameter, which has been replaced with filecache_max in 11.31. That's set to 20% (it's a 2GB system) per the recommendations in the document, so I'm good there.

When I ran mxinitconfig -a, it blows up (after several minutes of churning) in step 14.

Output at the end of the initconfig.log file is:

I've run an mxstart, and the two mx piece do start and run, but nothing's listening on port 280.

Any clues? Remove it and install from the latest binary off HP.com?

Hi C.05.02.00.00 is the latest version available.

and it can be downlaoded from the below link if u prefer and i have installed it on my box running 11.31
