Hi all,
ISEE, Webes and OSEM has been installed to minoter my customer EVA and other deivices, If I install HPSIM with RSP, do I still need ISEE, Webes and OSEM? I know that RSP dose the same job as ISEE is doing, my question is do I still need OSEM and Webse? why?
Thanks;
Kash

Solution
Yes I believe so.
My understanding is WEBES interprets the events generated by the EVA and then communicates with ISEE to send the call to HP.
The OSEM etc. installed with HPSIM is targeted more at the servers and you need to ensure all of the contracts are entered into HP to get it to work. The registration of the ISEE tied in with the EVA just needs the WWN (I think).
I've dropped the RSM/OSEM package on the HPSIM side as it wasn't adding value here but I've retained the WEBES/SEA/CV/ISEE set up on the CV Server.

Re: HPSIM RSP or ISEE OSEM Webse
Also RSP is not Supported to monitor EVAs today. It will be in the next release commeing soon. Today it is only for Proliant Servers! rms
