HPSIM version 5 "Major" events
I cannot see where these are coming from, if I drill down and look at events there are no uncleared events.
How do i find out what these Major problems are?

Re: HPSIM version 5 "Major" events
Have you checked the SMH on these servers?

Re: HPSIM version 5 "Major" events
The agents were installed from SmartStart 7.11 CD for the W2K server and from the latest SIM download and push out (as yet last week).

Re: HPSIM version 5 "Major" events
An event is when something happens, i.e. a disk fails and the SIM server is notified.
Health status means the current health of the server. i.e. degraded or such.
If your helath status is showing major, it could mean there is something on the server that is wrong. i.e a network cable unplugged or redundant power supply not plugged in.
These are not clearable events, more a status overview.
You will need to look in the management homepage of the server reporting the error to identify what is wrong.
Cheers
J

Re: HPSIM version 5 "Major" events
i have the same problems. SIM shows major or minor events but SMH shows always green flags. OS are 2000 with sp4 and 2003 with Sp1.
