Inability to report on events in SIM
I am stymied by the inability to create any sort of report on events created by SIM. Our Antivirus solution is sending traps to SIM to alert us of events such as infections, and, for HIPAA reasons, there is some interest in being able to do monthly reporting of virus activity.
In SIM, I can create customized lists of events, but I can't export them to any format, and printing them simply gives me a snapshot of the list in the Java applet.
Similarly, I can pull the events directly from the SQL tables, but since the XML data is stored in a binary format, there is no useful information.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Can one of the moderators speak at all as to what the future might hold for event reporting in SIM?
Thanks,
- Steve Kadish
