Incorrect Major status on discovered servers
Hi all,
We have the current version of SIM:
Version: Systems Insight Manager 5.0 with SP5 - Windows
Build version: C.05.00.02.00
Recently, I am seeing a bunch of DL385G2 which were discovered by their health status is Major (Orange), however, when we look into the web SIM for those servers it reports as GREEN.
The SIM agents are all v7.60.
Anyone have any idea on this?

Re: Incorrect Major status on discovered servers
HI
Are you sure that these servers are properly configured to send their snmp traps to the HP SIM server ?
Status is defined either by a polling task from the HP SIM or by a trap sent to the sim server.
In your case, it might be that these servers are pingable by HP SIM server but they are not sending traps to the CMS.
Check the snmp configuration on one of the servers. If it is incorrect in term of trap destinaition and community strings, you should try to use the configure and repair agents task from the configure menu to fix this.
Hope it helps
Fred
