Re: Insight Manager 7! Help
Sultan,
Good news - bad news:
You are able to reboot a server provided you have a done a couple of things up front.
1. Control Panel - HP Management Agents applet. Click on SNMP Settings Tab and you will see two check boxes. One for Enable SNMP Sets and the other for Enable Remote Reboot. Make sure both are checked.
2. Go to Services and verify you have a Read Write Community string vs. a Read Only string. It's ok to have both, just make sure that at least one string is a Read\Write string.
Then through IM 7 you can link to the server's System Management Homepage. Once you get there you will see "Tasks" link at the top. Look under there for a Recovery area and you will see a link to "Reboot Server".
The bad news is...that if you don't have an iLO or Riloe...you can't watch the server reboot.
Good luck,
Ed
