Insight Manager & establishing a Trust Relationship
Hi,
I am new to the Insight Manager software. I installed Insight Manager v7.1 onto a Win 2003 server. How do I establish a Trust relationship with other servers that are running the agent? The other servers will be using either Win 2k or Windows 2003.
And any other tips would be useful.
Thanks.. Tony

Re: Insight Manager & establishing a Trust Relationship
Please note this is the HP Systems Insight Manager forum. There is a separate forum for Insight Manager 7 at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/categoryhome.do?categoryId=266. Insight Manager 7 is being replaced by hpSIM.
First of all, Insight Manager 7 Service Pack 1 is several revisions down from current. Aside from feature improvements, there are security reasons to be using IM7 SP2.3. However, be aware that IM7's replacement, HP Systems Insight Manager is already released, with version 4.1 imminent that includes a data migration utility to ease transitioning from IM7.
In regards to trust relationships, this information is in the 'Security Architecture' paper at http://www.hp.com/servers/manage --> IM7 --> Support and Documents
