Hi,
We have a brand new DL380 G4.
We did an unassisted Windows install, then applied the Support Pack and installed the Hp Insight Manager.
The "Hp Insight Diagnostics Online" appears to work without issue.
However when we opened up the "Systems Insight Manager" we were first given several prompts, and after accepting them all, sat at the "Please wait, checking for a Java Plugin" screen, indefinitely.
Rather than try to play with the server, we went to a work station, and removed all Java. We opened the website (https://server:50000), and were prompted to install a supported JRE. We did so, and then were sent back to the same "please wait, checking for a Java client" screen again.
Using the shortcut on the server's desktop, I can see that all the services appear running OK. I have tried options including emptying my internet cache, and checking the java plugin selected in my control panel.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
If this is HPSIM 4.1, then you'll need to download and install HPSIM 4.1 SP1.
A problem was introduced with MS04-025 and this patch corrects that.
See:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/download.html
You may also consider downloading and starting with the new HPSIM 4.2.
