Insight Manager Discovery process question (ICMP traffic)

As I understand the IM discovery process, it start with a ping of addresses within a designated range. For the nodes that reply, IM then sends SNMP traffic to determine whether they can be managed by IM. Question: What if, due to network policies/repeated worm issues ICMP traffic is turned off? What are the options?

This is being addressed in hpSIM 4.1 for just that issue. There will be some limitations involved, but they will be documented. Look for info in the User Guide when 4.1 becomes available for download.
