Re: Insight manager - linux
Go to http://www.hp.com/servers/swdrivers and use option 2 to find the most recent ProLiant Support Pack for RH 7.3. At the bottom of the page is the list of servers that is supported. For instance, the DL380 G3 was the last 380 supporting 7.3.
You also can download the current (ironically, it's 7.3) support pack and rebuild it for the version of Linux you're running. Go to http://www.hp.com/go/proliantlinux and follow the instructions starting on page 25 of "Managing ProLiant Servers with Linux."
You also should read the support statement on RHP at http://www3.compaq.com/support/reference_library/viewdocument.asp?source=cn0362w.xml&dt=3

Re: Insight manager - linux
I find it much better than running on winblows.
I have intergrated the ISEE and the EMS from the HPUX systems to send traps to the HPSIM and the alerting originates from there. Also, the ProLiant Blade servers running RH Linux are a piece of cake. Found them right away and no issues at all. Just configure the snmpd.conf file to set community names and the trapsink on the Linux.
