Insight Manager takes up to an hour to start

If I restart our Insight Manager 5.0 SP4 server, it takes about an hour for the Insight manager homepage to become available at port 50000 and for me to be able to login.

I just get a "Page cannot be displayed error" until its ready.

Has anyone seen this behaviour?

I don't know how long you have been running HP SIM in your rnvironment but you may want to look at this article:

Although the symptoms in this doc are not exactly what you have mentioned I recently had to follow this procedure following which the startup of the service markedly improved.
You might also want to check usual server performance metrics and also make sure your server is of the correct spec for running HP SIM 5.0 and any other plugins that you might be running in addition to the base product.
