Install of downloaded HPSIM getting win32 errors

Hi

I have gone to the download page for the HPSIM4.1 and chosen to download the latest package with SP1 included.

This downloads onto my server as T2415BA_4.01.00.01_win.exe

However, which ever way I try to run it - double clicking, dragging into start/run or from DOS I get the error that this is not a valid win32 application.

I do have the CD 7.01 but I need the latest version to migrate my data from the Compaq SP7.

Can you confirm that the download file is correct and offer any assistance

Also - I am using W2k Server but with SP4. I notice the download is for SP3, would having SP4 affect the install package in this way?

It sounds possible that you have a file corrupted during download. The file is a self-extracting zip file. If it won't execute, see if you can open it and extract using WinZip.

I have had the same problem trying to download it this last week. I have tried it several times and even emptying the Internet Explorer files.

I think it is fair to say that the file on the server is indeed corrupt

To report problems with the Software Depot site, go to http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/feedback.do

I also just confirmed I could download a valid file from home. It extracts and runs as you would expect.

I have had the same problem on a W2K3 Server... all recommendations above have been attempted without success.

I have not yet reported it but will do this morning as I know now not just me getting issues!

I have since downloaded the next version 4.2 with SP2 and all running ok.
